Timmy is a male long-tailed macaque who was surrendered to the PRC from a pet situation in Kentucky in May 2013 at the age of 13. Timmy came to the sanctuary with his longtime companion Bucky after their former owner was no longer able to provide adequate care to the boys, and they have lived happily together here ever since.

Timmy is a little shy, but his personality really shows when he is in the midst of a game of tag with Bucky. He spends most of his days outside sitting on his favorite perches playing with his toys – particularly anything that rattles.  Timmy loves to watch all the happenings at the sanctuary and gets very excited when the caregivers arrive with his enrichment. Timmy and his friend Bucky are especially happy when they receive a huge nest of straw filled with hidden seeds, nuts, dried fruit, and popcorn. They will spend hours foraging through the straw to find every last tasty morsel. Some of Timmy’s favorite foods are peanuts, carrots, apples, sweet potatoes, bananas, and kiwi.

Timmy has beautiful eyes and dark olive and grey hair. He is very tall and slender with a long tail, and is an excellent climber, jumper, and bug catcher.
